High-performance archery coaching for athletes looking to progress to the next level — grounded in technical precision in an athlete-centred development.
I'm a performance archery coach based in Yorkshire, working with junior and senior recurve and compound archers competing at regional and national levels. I focus on co-development with the athlete, providing structure and understanding as a framework for growth.
Alongside my coaching, I'm a senior research fellow, bringing intellectual rigour and evidence-based non-linear pedagogy methods to every session.
Technical refinement and draw-cycle efficiency built around the archer's unique biomechanics. Options for focussing on the AGB Recurve Technical Framework and variation for Pathway selection.
Structured sessions focusing on consistency, equipment optimisation and tuning, and high-pressure mindset. Environment modification for performance resilience.
Goal setting and planning. Working with the archer to define SMART goals and the routes to success. Balancing real-life and archery, maximising potential.
Visualisation and emotional regulation integrated into the development journey.
Before transition to performance coaching, my journey started on the shooting line at University. My experience of successful national competition gives me firsthand understanding of the psychological and physical demands of high-pressure tournament environments. This competitive background directly shapes my evidence-based coaching methodology today.
